This app allows you to effortlessly enjoy content from your phone or tablet on the big screen of your Sony TV, without the hassle of cables. You can wirelessly connect your iOS device to your Sony Smart TV from 2012 models onward, making your life more convenient and comfortable.

With this app, you can easily mirror, cast, or stream anything you want, whether it's series, movies, sports, live streams, breaking news, or web videos. The app works by connecting your iPhone or iPad to the same local network as your Sony TV.

Here's how it works:

1. Ensure that your iPhone or iPad is connected to the same local network as your Sony TV. Avoid using multiple VLANs, VPNs, or subnets.
2. Launch the Mirror for Sony TV app. It will search for available Sony TVs on your network. Once a TV is found, select it. You may need to allow the connection between your TV and device using your TV remote control.
3. Enable notifications for the app to receive updates about the status of your TV. This is important for troubleshooting purposes.
4. To start mirroring, click on "Start Mirroring" for the currently selected TV. Once mirroring is active, you can switch to other apps on your device without interruption.
5. To stop mirroring, either click on the red top bar on your device or go back to the Mirror for Sony TV app and click "Stop Mirroring".

It's important to note that there is some latency (usually between 1 and 3 seconds) when using the mirroring feature, so it may not be suitable for gaming.

While this app offers great functionality, it's worth mentioning some limitations and known issues. Screen Mirroring can be blocked by certain apps that choose to do so. Notable examples are Netflix, Disney, and AppleTV+. To check if an app is blocking Screen Mirroring, you can perform a simple test using the screen recording feature on your iPhone or iPad.

The Mirror for Sony TV Pro Version is available for purchase within the app. Upgrading to the Pro Version provides additional features such as audio during screen mirroring, free lifetime updates, and the option to choose higher screen resolutions.

Please be aware that subscriptions to the Pro Version are managed through iTunes Account and will renew automatically unless turned off at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
